I wish that I was independently wealthy so that I could write Mr. Donoghue's vision of "a full-dress popular narrative biography of Meriwether Lewis." That would be something. I am always interested in reading a book that is filled with new perspectives, especially one like "Uncovering the Truth About Meriwether Lewis." It pains me to say that I have spent close to 20 years of my life tracking down the documentation to write the ML biography (with John C. Jackson) and now, by myself. But there's so much more than writing a synthesized version that is "roughly 600 pages long...and should cover all aspects of Lewis's life and times."

I am like one of the Voyager spacecraft, on my way to another historic place - not too far from Meriwether Lewis but far enough that the act of discovering occurs
spontaneously.

Thank you, Mr. Donoghue for writing your review about this enigmatic man - you also have been intrigued about him and it shows by your insightful comments.
