Hey Scott, glad you found me here! I've been meaning to drop you a comment for a week, but I've been swamped with day-job stuff. Welcome to Hammer & Thump -- I promise it will get a lot more lively or at least regular (at least on my end of the posting) in the coming weeks. I'm ramping up more theatrical and home-video reviews, as well as some cool interviews with filmmakers.

Maybe eventually we can get all the old gang from "The Other Place" back together here, lol.

Thanks again for seeking it out and commenting!

Locke! This is crazy. I was going through my google reader tonight hen I came across Redblogs for the day. I opened them and thought to myself, “Self, Redblog posts have been really sucking lately.” I knew something was missing I just didnt now what.

So I did some digging and turns out it is you and Erica. I mostly just read Redblog through reader, but today I clicked over to the site and looked around. I found your last post was from December. Also, you started this site today. AND ALSO, I just watched Drive this weekend. Great timing on my part if I do say so myself.

Anyway, I’m glad I refound you and look forward to many more reviews.

We just watched this movie over the weekend.., I should say I almost watched the whole thing. I made it about 3/4 of the way through and had to quit. You know I'm not much for violance, ok - I hate blatant boot stomping bone crushing seemingly pointless blood letting. I know it wasn't pointless, but I can't get past it. So, I thought the movie was ok - I did enjoy Albert Brooks (until he started doing bad things with tools). So it won't make my list for the year, suffice it to say my list consists of Rango (not even sure that was this year) and Win Win - which I also just watched this weekend and lOVED.
There you have it, eventually I will get around to watching all the movies I've done transcription for, but by then movies will be streamed directly into our brains via an implanted chip in my skull. Then how will I stop the violence?? Sort of exestential, I guess (or ironic?)
