I started book 3 by accident and was lost, confused and totally NOT interested at all. I have read all of Karen's Highlander books. I thought to give it another go by reading DarkFever first.. which is what should have been done in the first place.. these are series books.. thus are to be read in order.. no wonder you didnt care much for them.. you didnt know what the hell was going on.. *sorry.. has to laugh as I did the same thing* Go back to the bookstore, pick up Darkfever.. and if your smart you'll get Bloodfever as well as Faefever while you're there; you can thank me later for that advice*

I love the fever series. I think the reason you were a bit confused, is because you didn't read the books in order. There is a great deal of back story that has to be read to truly understand the book completely. So who reads Karen Moning's books? well... I'm 25, mom, work full time for a health insurance company, and school by night online. I'm normal and I love the book. People don't have to be weird or labeled to love the book. People either like it or not, and I am one of those people that love it. It has everything and keep you on your toes. I started with twilight, then sookie stackhouse, Cassie palmer, and now this.
